Employee Spotlight: Michael Falls, VP of Client Success

How would you summarize what you do?
As the Vice President of Client Success, I’m responsible for leading our Client Engagement, Enablement, and Solutions teams. We ensure that our customer stakeholders across the Executive, Operations, and Finance domains are able to maximize the value of the Reveel Platform and are delighted by their experience working with the Reveel team.

What makes you want to stay at our organization?
Reveel is the type of organization I have always been drawn to – a team of incredibly talented people united by a compelling vision and actively delivering remarkable value for customers, including innovations that are disrupting our entire industry.

What do you like about our company culture?
Reveel’s core values of “transparency”, “partnership” and “learning” have been energizing to me in my first two months with the company. The team members in the organization live out these core values in the way we work together and support our customers.

Can you tell us a few details about the favorite part of your job?
I love that we are able to innovate and solve problems at such a rapid pace. In just two months in the organization, I’ve had the privilege of already being involved in the transformation of several internal processes and in the process of bringing new innovations to market that drive significant value for our clients.

What does your daily routine look like?
My week is organized around supporting my incredible team – the people who help our clients maximize the impact of Reveel’s Platform and services to our customers’ organizations. My time is spent investing in the teams I have the privilege of leading, working cross-functionally across the Reveel organization, and talking directly with our clients about their needs and the direction of our Platform.

Tell us the most significant project you’ve handled and how it has impacted our company?
After just a month with the company, I had the opportunity to join several of my Reveel colleagues for a two-day in-person Design Sprint session, where we collaborated on the user experience for one of our upcoming feature releases. Just four weeks into my tenure at Reveel, it was clear to me that I’d made the right decision to join this organization – I was already being given the opportunity to collaborate on a new one-of-a-kind feature that has the opportunity to give shippers self-service solutions they’ve never had access to in a parcel spend management product.

How does your current job compare with the previous jobs you’ve had?
Reveel is unique, because we are developing an innovative software solution that is disrupting our own business model and in turn, disrupting an entire industry. It’s exciting to bring a brand new software solution to a market that has depended on consulting services for decades.

What things stood out for you about our management team?
Reveel’s management team is full of talent, expertise, experience, and drive. I’ve seen countless management teams across organizations – both that I’ve worked for and from my years in consulting – and I’ve never seen a team that communicates with such transparency. There is a singular focus within Reveel’s management team on executing the vision.

Who inspires you the most within our organization?
This is a tough question to answer, because there are so many people I could choose. But I’ll go with Nick Nowaczyk, our Chief Operating Officer. Nick carries the torch for our core values and fiercely protective of our culture. His intentionality is the glue of the Reveel organization.

What’s unique about working for our organization?
Working for Reveel today feels like what it must have felt like to work for Turbo Tax or Travelocity a couple of decades ago – it is energizing to work for a company that is disrupting an established services industry by delivering outsized value to our customers.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who wants to work for us?
Reveel is an incredible place to work for people whose values align with ours – transparency, empathy, responsiveness, learning, perseverance, and partnership. Reveel has done a great job bringing in people to the team who fit these core values and live them out in the workplace. Anyone looking to join Reveel should be sure that they’re really looking for a company where the expectation is that you are vulnerable and put yourself out there by being transparent, being empathetic, having a learning disposition, persevering through adversity, and being a responsive partner to your team and clients. It’s a powerful work environment, but it’s not a fit for everyone.

What’s the most exciting thing you are working on right now?
We’ve delivered a new feature into the Reveel Platform that will allow our clients to interact with their data in some really remarkable ways – completely customized to their unique business needs. Having the opportunity to take this new feature to a customer base that is already delighted by the existing feature set and ideate about how it can unlock additional value – that’s exciting.

What skill do you think everyone should learn?
Ask good questions, listen to the answers, and don’t lose the key points from the conversation – have a system to document and follow-up on the key takeaways.

What motivates you?
I’m motivated by the fact that Reveel’s Platform and team offer our customers a remarkable value proposition that continues to expand as we innovative. Having the ability to work with my incredibly talented team to bring that value to our customers on a daily basis and see the ways that our solution is transformative to their organizations – that is what motivates me.
