This year marks two decades since we founded Reveel with the goal of helping shippers level the playing field with carriers – a mission we set out to achieve when, as carrier reps, we saw how shipping costs impacted businesses and often changed without warning. Of course, a lot has changed as we near Reveel’s 20th birthday. 

When we first began to help companies analyze their shipping operations and negotiate better terms and conditions in their carrier contracts, we faced many of the same hurdles that lead new customers to Reveel today. Chief among these was the challenge of making sense of mountains of shipping data and the constantly changing variables that make each shipment an ad hoc event.

From the beginning, the recommendations we provided saved our clients money, often a lot of money. But we knew there had to be a better way that would enable us to proactively uncover actionable insights in data that was unstructured and often held in proprietary formats – something that isolated it from the business intelligence solutions ubiquitous across other business functions.

That desire led us to make a significant gamble – to transition from a pure consultancy and to create, with the acquisition of some exceptional technical talent, what would become the Reveel Shipping Intelligence platform and inspire the Parcel Spend Management 2.0 (PSM 2.0) technology hundreds of leading companies now rely on to radically decrease their shipping costs and improve their operational and financial management. Over the years, we spoke with hundreds of leading shippers – using their insights to identify where we could improve our technology and enable shippers to do for themselves what even the savviest consultants long considered out of reach.

Today, Reveel and its platform exceed what we could ever have imagined in those early years. Our talented team of shipping, technology, and business experts are more than just a great team of great people, they are experts who are redefining how the most successful brands approach parcel shipping and the fulfillment operations that define success for leading e-commerce companies and omnichannel retailers.

As we welcome 2026 our platform is more powerful than ever – enabling shippers not only to be more proactive, but also to play a greater role in the success of their businesses as the parcel landscape becomes more complex, with multi-carrier strategies increasingly the norm and sophisticated modeling and simulation capabilities, powerful AI tools are more applicable than ever.

One thing has not changed; however, and that is our mission to help shippers level the playing field with carriers – something that’s more applicable today as most carriers move to increase their RPP with accessorial charges that change quickly and are introduced with little or no warning. In such an environment, technology that enables shippers to see and act on changes as they occur is more crucial than ever.

In such a time, our overarching goal remains simple: to help shippers anticipate changes before they show up on an invoice in a time when real-time clarity, not retrospective analysis, is key. In keeping with that, our resolution for 2026 will not come as a surprise. In 2026, as with every year, our goal and commitment is to help you – the shippers, operational and business leaders who need shipping intelligence – to excel. 

In that endeavor, we have some exceptional innovations in store for you in the coming months. We believe you will find the groundbreaking new technology we will unveil in 2026 can change the Transportation Spend Management game.
